Croatia

I had the incredible opportunity to travel with a group of 50 remote workers as part of the Remote Year program in 2018.

This unique initiative allowed us to live and work remotely in a different country every month, spanning Europe, Asia, and South America. Though the company unfortunately shut down at the end of 2024, it was a transformative experience that gave me the confidence to embrace traveling even more independently. Our journey began in Croatia, a country I hadn’t thought much about before. However, I quickly found myself captivated by the stunning beauty of its old towns and breathtaking coastline. Based in the city of Split, I explored its rich history and vibrant culture. One unforgettable highlight was visiting the Plitvice Lakes National Park, with its crystal-clear waters and cascading waterfalls. I also had the chance to visit Dubrovnik (where they filmed Game of Thrones), Trogir but also Kotor in Montenegro and the Dumotor National park. Croatia truly set the tone for the rest of this remarkable adventure.
