In August 2024 I joined the Dorothy Project’s Mission Inferno in the Canadian West, as a drone operator and photographer, documenting a balloon launch built to photograph wildfires from the edge of space. We came back with footage from over 33 kilometers above the Rockies, and with a failed infrared prototype that lasted fifteen minutes. The footage is headed into a VR experience about climate change.

The Dorothy Project
Images of Earth from the edge of space
Role: Drone Operator/Photographer
Part research lab, part film studio, based in Montréal. Dorothy sends balloons into the stratosphere, films Earth from the edge of space, and turns the footage into VR experiences made to change how people see the planet.
