A free Icelandair layover in 2016 turned into a week in the Icelandic interior on the Landmannalaugar trail. Two things there change how you photograph. There are almost no trees, so nothing in the frame tells you how large anything is, and in June the sun never fully sets, so the light stays low and raking through most of the night. I stopped trying to work around either and started using them.
