Every time I return to France, I make it a point to get closer to the majestic Alps

This incredible mountain range stretches across three countries, and on this particular visit, I found myself near the Italian border. While my friends were off climbing, I chose instead to explore an intriguing old stone village. The village was empty, its timeless atmosphere almost otherworldly. I later learned it once served as a resting place for shepherds on their way down to sell their cattle. Wandering through its quiet streets, I couldn’t help but feel connected to the history and simplicity of this remote, beautiful place.
