Auction Mobility provided free custom WordPress websites as an incentive for auction houses to use our platform. Initially, we maintained three different templates tailored to various auction business models, offering flexibility but making updates and maintenance time-consuming. As demand grew, managing multiple templates became inefficient, slowing down website delivery and reducing the time available for other high-priority design tasks.
Additionally, the onboarding process for new clients was manual and time-intensive, requiring one-on-one video calls to guide them through website maintenance. With increased client volume, we needed a scalable, standardized solution without sacrificing quality or user experience.
Solution
- Created a Master Template – Consolidated all features into a single, modular WordPress template, allowing us to easily enable or disable sections based on customer needs.
- Automated & Outsourced Site Creation – Developed a comprehensive onboarding form for customers and a complete creation guide for the web firm in charge of creating the sites.
- Scaled Customer Training with Pre-Recorded Videos – Replaced time-consuming individual video calls with recorded tutorials, allowing clients to learn at their own pace.
- Faster Website Deployment – Standardized processes reduced custom site creation time while maintaining consistent branding and functionality.
Faster onboarding and guided outsourcing allowed us to roll twice as many new clients.
Pre-recorded tutorial videos reduced the communication back and forth, allowing more focus on other UX initiatives.
The website creation flow became scalable and increased the amount of reach our sales team could do.
